This rug has freshened up our space and anchored the room nicely. It took me a day or so to get used to the different colour and texture to what was there previously, but now I am very happy with how it looks and it is quite soft underfoot. The natural fibre smell is fading as it has now been a week and it is shedding little fibres slightly but I believe this will reduce over time. I vapourised some essential oils in the room for a couple of days as the subtle smell initially emerged (previous reviews shared this was to be expected). Initially as I unrolled the rug I was a little concerned with the quality as there were a few very dark pieces of sisal/seagrass which seemed to be slightly decayed (not of the same quality with which the majority of the rug was made) so I carefully removed these strands to not only ensure the aesthetics of the rug was more consistent (as these were very dark, almost black compared to the beige colour of the rest of the sisal) but also they were loose and I didn't want my kids pulling it and causing the rug to fall apart. The delivery was prompt and we now have a softer rug and hopefully more durable rug than the pure sisal rug that it replaced.

This is a beautiful rug and nice and soft underfoot. I would say its a lot more darker coloured in real life compared to the ad pictures so I found the pictures in the reviews very helpful to give a more accurate colour guide.

We added a Beautiful rug for our round coffee table both purchased from Temple and webster. Both fit gracefully into the lounge/ living area of our home, making it elegant and simple. Colours complement the camel coloured lounge suite and dark polished floors with freshly painted white walls. Swift delivery and reasonable delivery fee. The rug has a larger weave than I expected but, now it’s been down a few days, I like that it’s a bit different. I have had a few wool ends pop up from the weave, but I’ve been able to poke them back. Not sure if this will be an issue when vacuuming. Overall am happy with the rug. |
